5 WAYS TO KEEP YOUR HAIR INSIDE YOUR HIJAB
Every hijabi experiences a stray hair or two during the day and it is EXTREMELY annoying. I don’t know about everyone else, but when I realize that there is hair poking from my scarf, my anxiety levels rise and I can’t concentrate on what’s in front of me. All I want to do in that moment is head to the nearest bathroom so I can redo my hair and hijab. As more time has passed since I have crowned myself with the veil, I have picked up some tips along the way to help me keep my hair nice and tidy.
1.) USE CLIPS, BOBBY PINS, AND BARRETTES
Hair clips, barrettes, and bobby pins will definitely do the trick when it comes to those pesky baby hairs. With these tools, you can definitely prolong the amount of time it takes for your hijab to become undone. Make sure to not clip too tightly because it will damage your hair.
2.) WEAR AN UNDERSCARF, BANDANA, OR HEADBAND
If you wear an underscarf or headband, it is like killing two birds with one stone. Your hair will be out of your face and covered at the same time. This will give you more freedom to play around with more hijab styles and less of a reason to worry about hair peeking through. Underscarves, like the ninja scarf have become a worldwide trend that looks very chic and modern. They are relatively inexpensive to buy and easy to make as well.
3.) CHECK YOUR HAIRSTYLE
If you hair is constantly getting in your face while wearing hijab, you might want to check your hairstyle. Even though the hijab covers the hair, the best way to prevent it from showing is by braiding it or tying it back. Click here to learn which hairstyles will work best for Muslimahs wearing the veil.
4.) WEAR AL-AMIRA HIJABS
The Al-Amira hijabs are literally the easiest hijabs to wear. All you have to do is slip them over your head and VOILA! This type of head scarf is great because it is quick and has no wrapping and pinning involved. If you are a beginner at hijab or don’t want to deal with a regular hijab these are for you. Al-Amira hijabs are also great for kids.
5.) USE HIJAB PINS
Hijab pins are an amazing invention that combine both form and function. They look so beautiful with the scarf and make the hijabi life a lot easier because they keep everything in place. Give yourself a piece of mind by utilizing this amazing tool!
