When the doorbell rings, the rush to find your hijab starts.

Hijabis have all been in this situation before. You’re in the house alone, and of course you’re not wearing your hijab, and suddenly you hear the doorbell ring.

You don’t want the person to go away while you look for a scarf and make yourself presentable, but you don’t want to open the door without a hijab on! So what do you do? You take a towel, or a prayer dress (telekung), or an abaya or cardigan depending on how covered you are.

Here’s YouTube Vlogger Muska Jahan’s tip for you.

1. Get one of those scarves you can slip on, also known as instant hijabs or Al-Amira scarves.

2. Leave it near your front door.

3. Or any scarf will do!

4. The best will be a pre-pinned scarf so you can put your head through.
