A BEGINNER’S GUIDE TO HIJAB: THE BEST TOOLS FOR NEW HIJABIS

When I first started wearing the hijab, I looked everywhere to find out what I needed to have in order to stay true to my deen and look decent at the same time. However, what I found online didn’t cover what I personally felt to be the true an necessary essentials. As a result, I have come up with my own list on the best tools for new hijabis as a part of my series on the beginner’s guide to hijab 😀 .

1. NINJA SCARVES

I absolutely love ninja scarves. They make the hijab styling process a lot easier because they cover up your hair and neck. As a result of this amazing tool, you are free to play around with your headscarf style without worrying about anything showing underneath.

Where to find them: eBay & Amazon

2. STRAIGHT PINS

Straight pins are what I refer to as the “perfect placement” tool. With the help of this useful equipment, you can drape the scarf exactly the way you want and not have to worry about your hijab falling apart during the day.

Where to find them: Craft stores

3. SAFETY PINS

I think that safety pins are an ultimate must-have for every hijabi. This is because they work amazingly well at securing the scarf around your head and neck. With these babies, hijab styling becomes ten times easier.

Where to find them: Craft stores & dollar stores

4. CLAW CLIPS

I wanted to mention claw clips in this video because I think that they are a necessary essential for hijabis. If your hair is long, this hair tool will come in handy as it makes your locks a lot more manageable and neater underneath your scarf.

Where to find them: Personal care aisles of convenience stores, dollar stores,…..literally anywhere

5. LONG SLEEVE SHRUGS

Last but not least, I think that long sleeve shrugs are one of the best tools for hijabis. I use these on a regular basis and I love how easily they work for any weather situation. If the weather is hot, you can wear them underneath a short sleeve dress or top. If the weather is cold, you can use long sleeve shrugs as an extra layering piece to keep your arms extra warm.
