DIY: HOW TO MAKE HIJAB PINS FROM SAFETY PINS
Asalamualaikum everyone! In today’s post I’m going to share an easy DIY on how to make hijab pins from safety pins. This is a great tutorial for those of you who don’t want to spend a lot of money on hijab pins and desire to create something unique.
There are so many different types of safety pins on the market today, so the possibilities are endless when it comes to creating a pin that is stylish and matches your personality. However, in today’s tutorial we are going to use the “standard” safety pin so that anyone who is reading/watching can be inspired and actually follow the steps in this DIY.
MATERIALS
Flat-Nose Pliers | Seed Beads | Chain | Safety Pin | Charm or *Bead
* The bead is inside a pin with a loop head
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Open the coil with pliers. Be careful to avoid hurting yourself.
2. Once the coil is loose enough, you can gather your seed beads.
3. Slide each bead through the safety pin and repeat until you have enough beads to reach the coil.
4. Press down on the coil with pliers and close the pin for the next step.
5. Next, take your bead or charm and open the jump ring or loop.
6. After that, you can secure the bead/charm around the coil of the safety pin with pliers. This will make sure that the beads do not become loose.
7. Voila! You have now learned how to make hijab pins from safety pins!
