VLOG: HIJAB EXERCISE OOTD, WORKOUT, AND BREAKFAST


 Asalamualaikum everyone! Today’s video is going to be a vlog where I share a little bit more about the exercise habits and healthy foods I want to incorporate into my lifestyle. I recently posted a video where I talk about wanting to have a stronger and leaner body, and I want to have a jump start before 2016 so I am starting now 😀 . I am making sure to include lots of walking and have been using this really cool email newsletter called Greatist.com. They send daily workouts via email, which makes it easy for me to workout at home and not get bored.

I was inspired to make this video because I noticed that my previous Hijab Exercise OOTD post has done pretty well and I think that a lot of us Muslimahs are starting to become more concerned about taking care of our bodies. Before I started to wear the hijab, I was really concerned about what I would wear while exercising and to my surprise, it’s actually very easy 🙂 Alhamdulilah.

I personally think that the hijab should not serve as an excuse to stop us from going to the gym and having fit bodies, and I hope this video serves as an inspiration for those of you who have the same goal. Let’s all work to make 2016 the year we take charge of our health!

MY FAVORITE BREAKFAST POTATO RECIPE:
Ingredients: potatoes, tomatoes, garbanzo beans, parsley, olive oil, salt, and pepper.

1.) Chop up your potatoes into tiny cubes and cook them in a pan with a little bit of olive oil.

2.) Flip over your potatoes with a spatula ever so often to make sure they are evenly browned.

3.) When your potatoes are cooked, combine them with garbanzo beans, parsley, and chopped tomatoes.


MY FAVORITE SMOOTHIE RECIPE:

Ingredients: two bananas, frozen blueberries, water 

1.) Blend two bananas with a cup of frozen blueberries and water until smooth. 

2.) Drink the fruity deliciousness.
